I started this blog a month ago with dreams of beautiful posts: encouraging content for moms, young and old, and prospective homeschoolers, but all I’ve experienced is a bad case of writer’s block! How does one begin a fresh, new blog? Would she start in s l o w l y, with ample get-to-know-you posts? Or does she jump right on in with tips and tricks, and “how-to” posts as if she’s been here all along?
I suppose all good things have to start somewhere, so here we go!
Hi 🙂

I’m Mallory. I’m a 30-something year old mama of 7 super-fun kiddos ranging from age 13-3. I’m literally living my childhood dream, being married to a phenomenal man, raising a lot of babies, living in the country, and… being a Mennonite.
Wait… what?
Yes, you read right. I didn’t grow up Mennonite (I didn’t even grow up in a Christian home) but it was a dream of mine from the ages of 9-14. I grew up in a heavily populated Old Order Mennonite area, and spent my days fantasizing about dresses and aprons, floral bonnets, bountiful gardens, and horse and buggies during those years! When I went off to high school those dreams slowly diminished, but several years later, I ended up developing some fairly conservative convictions after becoming a Christian, fell in love with an actual Mennonite, and, well- here we are!

Ok, so that’s a little about me.
But that’s not the intention for this blog! The vision I have for this space is encouragement in the areas of homeschooling and homemaking; creating homes where our loved ones feel comforted, inspired, and a deep sense of belonging. This has become my passion over the past 4 years of home educating my children. I hope to be an encouraging voice, a cheerleader of sorts, to you, fellow Mama in the trenches of motherhood.
Mallory, I did not know you have such a gift for writing! You are already my current favorite homeschool inspiration🥰 can’t wait for more!
